About Jacquel (Co-Creator)

Hellllllllooooo!!!  Welcome to our (first) little space on the web! You've now all met my wonderful counterpart and fellow B.L.I.S.S. girl , Amira, and you know a little bit of our story, so pull up a chair, get cozy and let me tell you a little bit more about me .

I too am a Jersey girl,born in Livingston, and raised in Irvington, New Jersey, by two very strong and very Jamaican parents (wah gwan). I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors degree in Nursing and from Walden University with a Masters in Nursing Informatics. I am currently employed as an Informatics Nurse Specialist (yes, I’m aware you have no idea what that means,lol. Just think nurse +IT= me).  I've been in Jersey for all my life, except for a brief stint in North Carolina as travel nurse.

While I can say nursing is my calling, beauty and fashion are my passions. I truly believe that you only have one chance at a first impression and that impression needs to be Fab-u-lous at all times, but I also like to stay on a budget. (I said fabulous not broke!). I am a self (and YouTube) taught MUA/ MUE, who LOVES researching all things makeup and skincare . My initial goal here is to bring you plus size looks, makeup/product reviews, dupe alerts, and the best places for shopping on a budget to help you look and feel your best. All I ask is that you also leave a little room for me to talk about love, life and how love to nurture your soul. I hope you love reading our blog as much as we love writing it!
